As soon as arrived I tried to use it, opening the box I just got surprised because no SD chip inside (not even a small 512Mb testing one). Since our last Canon camera was a SLR classic (film) we have not much idea about electronics more than small cameras we have. Anyhow, it worked after learning a little bit using internet about chip class (speed type) and some incompatibilities with some vendors went to a retail and bought 16GB class 4, and did the job fantastic, it has outstanding performance, very easy to use, handy, good point about 110-220 AC charger, lens anti-vibration system is a big help when you are on a small boat deck, sport mode worked fine for my little princess last basketball match, despite they lost the game I keep some astonishing pictures of her ;-) , it is mac compatible but slow transferring speed to the computer on USB2 link cable, again this is our first not "entry level" digital camera. ... and by sure not all the features discovered yet so keep learning more about the product. Please ponder these comments considering coming from a "photo amateur" family like us
